The Frassati and Goretti Catholic Houses are places of community and strength by which its members may find support and acceptance as they experience the academic vigor at the
Colorado School of Mines. More importantly members of the community will strive to strengthen their Catholic faith, their personal relationship with God, and the pursuit of
virtue. The members of the houses are to aid in fostering these attributes in others as well.
The members of the houses are good stewards, maintain an environment of hospitality to all, and serve the Catholic community at Mines as well as all members of the school and surrounding community.
Our Lady of Mount Zion Chapel resides between the two houses on the property of 807 16th St. Golden, CO and is available to the residents of the houses and the Colorado School of Mines Catholic Community. The chapel has been consecrated and does contain a tabernacle where the Blessed Sacrament resides. As such it is crucial that Our Lady of Mount Zion Chapel is supervised so as to maintain the utmost respect, reverence, and protection from harm towards the Blessed Sacrament and the sacred space itself. This supervision is expected from all members of both houses with the primary responsibility subject to the House Manager of the Frassati House.
The Frassati House is the Catholic Men’s house at 807 16th St. Golden, CO in the original house on the property. The house will have five male members. The house contains one master bedroom, and three single bedrooms.
The Goretti House is the Catholic Women’s house at 807B 16th St. Golden, CO in the new addition on the property. The house will have five female members. The house contains four single bedrooms.

The managers may propose new rules as necessary. The House Manager is expected to handle disputes with the members of the house however if necessary they may bring an issue to the attention of the Renter. Although they do hold a certain level of authority the mission of each House Manager is not always to act above their respective members but simply they have a special vocation within the house to invest more time, energy, and prayer into each of their members to ensure this growth in their community and the fulfillment of the mission statement.
St. Joan of Arc will serve as support of the houses and will contribute a share of the rent as described in section 3.1 (Rent). As such the houses will be of use to Mines Catholic Campus Ministry - MCCM - for various Catholic events for the community with the approval of its members.
